Jesus referred to himself as meek and lowly (Mt 11:29). We are commanded to grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ (2 Pet 3:18). One of the qualities of the fruit of the Spirit is meekness (Gal 5:23, KJV). The fruit of the Spirit is Christ-likeness. Meekness is not weakness but controlled strength. The meek are happy for they shall inherit the earth, not through subjugation but in submission to a higher authority when Christ returns to reign. The meek will reign as kings and priests to our God on the earth (Rev 5:10)! We are strong when we are meek. <><
